Why is “storyboard” so misunderstood?
Once upon a time, there was a storyboard. They were very misunderstood.
Some people felt that storyboard was for visualizing video scenes.
Others thought storyboard was like a script used to create online learning.
Well… Hi, I’m Chris Karel and I’m here to help you make better video for learning purposes.
Our ole pal Storyboard is not misunderstood, English just fails to be specific again.
Take the word bow for example – there are seven different meanings
like bending forward— to a ribbon, to the front of a ship.
A visual storyboard [gr] is used to pre-visualize the making of a video. It features sketches and descriptions.
An instructional design storyboard is a script that may contain visual information, but more often it will tell everyone who is saying what, what graphics are on screen, and how the interactions should be programmed.
