A learner persona is like a profile of the person you are trying to teach or train. It includes their skill and knowledge level, educational background, and their goals.

Hi! I’m Chris Karel from the Learning Carton! I’m on a mission to help YOU make better learning videos. And I’m here to help you use those videos to create better learning experiences.

What is a learner persona?

What is a learner persona?

If you make training or learning content you need to have an answer to this question.

You probably had an answer right away: salespeople, hygienists, installers, marketers, college students, etc.

Let’s take it a step further and talk personas.

The job title is step one – you know that.

What are their training goals? What do they need to learn in a day-week-month-quarter-year?

Next, what are their responsibilities? What do they have to do in a day-week- – you get it.

Then, determine their educational background. Are they graduates of high school, college, etc?

Finally, what is their skill level? Are they novices-intermediate-or advanced?

If you create these personas then your training and learning development will improve.

You can focus in on what people need when they need it, and how to help them when they can’t get it the first time.

How can you use learner personas to create better learning experiences?

Comment down below.

Until next time, Peace!
