The explainer mission is one I choose to accept. I have made it my mission to teach people how to make and use video for learning purposes. In this case, I’m focused on the explainer, one of six types of learning or educational videos. In this video post, I’ll tell you why an explainer video is a valuable learning tool.
This video was edited in Camtasia and subtitled using the free version of Kapwing.
Hi! I’m Chris Karel from the Learning Carton! I’m on a mission to help YOU make better learning videos. And I’m here to help you use those videos to create better learning experiences.

Hello?

Chris! Why haven’t you looked in the drawer yet?

Your Mission… Should you choose to accept it Is to teach people how to make and use video for learning purposes, most notably convince them why an EXPLAINER is valuable.
As always, should you or any member of your Learning Carton team be caught or commented upon the secretary of BAT – boring a$$ training will disavow any knowledge of your actions.
Good luck Chris!
This message will self-destruct in five seconds.
Listen up
An explainer video literally explains a topic.
The best ones use a story to communicate the message. And, we all know the heart of every story is the conflict.
So, they typically start with a problem, then they give you the solution, and then explain why that solution is the best solution.
So, why should you use one to teach people?
Well, you can use it to show a complicated process, demonstrate how someone should act in a workplace setting, or even help people understand a product or service.
That’s why explainer videos are literally one of the 6 best types of learning videos.
OK – Tell no one about this, I mean seriously,
Seriously, tell everyone. Or don’t
VOICE:
Time’s up Chris!
