How to handle the major hurdles of being a solo entrepreneur!
A hurdle I have faced as an entrepreneur was establishing the series of workflows needed to operate a business at a high level. I love a good checklist. As a learning professional, I have created countless onboarding, sales training, and financial courses. However, when I was trying to determine what needed to be done each week, month, quarter, and year I found myself a bit overwhelmed.
What did I do?
Well, I started by using out of the box templates that offered me a guide on how to handle accounting, legal paperwork, creating content marketing, advertising, networking, and web design. Over the course of the first year, I refined each of those business sectors into repeatable, scalable workflows. I embedded links to each workflow into a calendar appointment for myself. Now, I don’t have to remember. The calendar reminds me, I click the link and BOOM! I’ve completed the necessary business tasks!
Once I realized I was my own learning video producer and I was the subject matter expert, I was able to jump over these hurdles with ease.
My learning has led me to a new understanding on how to help my clients. I offer content to my clients and my prospective students that is rooted in process and measurable success. It helps me stay on my mission, which is to help people improve the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors of their learning audience.
