How important is visual design for a learning video?
Hi! I’m Chris Karel from the Learning Carton! I’m on a mission to help YOU make better learning videos.
Visual design is a key component to keeping peoples interest. If it looks good, we watch it!
Today, we’re gonna talk about why visual design is important, but it’s not that important!
In fact, I’d put it at number 4! Before that, you have your AUDIO, #1! #2 Your lighting – you need to look good
#3 A good solid edit will go a long way at making sure that people are paying attention.
However, visual design is also important and not to be overlooked.
If it looks good, people will keep watching…If it’s interesting, people will be engaged.
(deep inhale & exhale)
Let’s take a breath. I know visual design can be OVER – whelming to people.
I don’t know why it’s “Over” – whelming, BUT!
It’s like an entire field of study. There’s graphic design, there’s UX, there’s visual studies, there’s so much to learn.
